A Wish With Wings – MMI donates to this charity in the memory of Herb Pease Sr., the founder of MMI. They are based in Arlington, Texas and their purpose is to grant wishes to children that live in Texas and have life threatening diseases. They have been in existence since 1982. Their symbol is the butterfly -- thus their wishes are usually called "Butterfly Wishes".
Vietnam Veterans Foundation of Texas - VVFT fosters, encourages, and promotes the improvements and social welfare of the Vietnam Veteran and his or her dependents; assists homeless and unemployed veterans; maintains a scholarship for the children of Texas veterans; funds programs designed to bring relief to veterans who suffer from drug or alcohol abuse, and develops channels of communication which assist veterans to maximize self-realization and enhance self-fulfillment. MMI provides monetary donations as well as welcoming home our current service men and women.
All Church Home – MMI employees sponsor children at Christmas that otherwise would not be able to celebrate the holiday. Through strength-based partnership All Church Home brings resources and skills to children and families struggling with life's challenges. Together we develop solutions that create safety, hope, love and the capacity to thrive.
Arlington Heights Health Rehab – MMI employees sponsor senior citizens at Christmas by giving gifts and spending time in the home. Arlington Heights Health and Rehabilitation Center offers comprehensive 24-hour sub acute and skilled nursing care, a full range of short and long term rehab-ilitation programs that include physical, occupational and speech language therapies and one of the best activity programs in Fort Worth. We focus on providing excellent customer service and assisting each resident meet their individual healthcare challenges.
Alice Contreras Elementary School – MMI partners with the school in providing school supplies, tennis shoes, back packs and coats for needy children who attend this school.
Humane Society – MMI volunteers time with pet adoptions throughout the year and donating supplies. The HSUS is the nation's largest animal protection organization with more than ten million members and constituents. The HSUS is a mainstream voice for animals, with active programs in companion animals, wildlife and habitat protection, animals in research, and farm animals. Our mission is to celebrate animals and confront cruelty. The HSUS protects all animals through legislation, litigation, investigation, education, advocacy and field work. A non-profit organization, The HSUS celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2004, is based in Washington, D.C. and has regional representatives across the country.
Susan G. Komen Race For the Cure – MMI provides monetary donations to support finding a cure for breast cancer. Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, is the global leader of the breast cancer movement, having invested more than $1 billion since inception in 1982. As the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists working together to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®, and generous contributions from our partners, sponsors and fellow supporters, we have become the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
MDA Telethon – MMI volunteers time and monetary donations. The Telethon is the single most important fund-raising event of the year for MDA. Funds raised help the Association carry on its fight against more than 40 forms of muscular dystrophy and related diseases, including a worldwide program of basic and applied research, a nationwide network of comprehensive medical and support services, and extensive professional and public education.
Tarrant Area Food Bank – MMI’s employees donate food and volunteer their time to pack and distribute food to needy families in our community. The food bank strives to eliminate hunger in Fort Worth and 13 surrounding counties by providing food, education and other resources to a network of partner agencies and their communities.
